Principal AI Engineer
Principal engineer role leading agentic AI systems at Botminds: LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, MCP and A2A frameworks. 15+ years, Chennai based.
Botminds builds enterprise-grade agentic AI: systems that read documents, reason over them, and drive governed decisions in lending, credit operations, and beyond. This role leads the design of those systems — the NLP and LLM orchestration, the retrieval pipelines, the agent-to-agent coordination — and carries them from architecture through production.
It is a principal role in the honest sense: you set technical direction, you mentor the engineers building alongside you, and you still write the hard code yourself.
What you’ll do
You will architect and implement scalable, secure agentic AI systems for enterprise automation, and lead the design and deployment of NLP, LLM, and RAG-powered intelligence across the platform. You define and build MCP frameworks and A2A orchestration logic, and translate messy enterprise workflows into modular, AI-driven processes with product and engineering partners. You prototype models, productionize them, and stay accountable for performance, security, and reliability across the AI stack. You mentor through design reviews, code reviews, and technical strategy, keep the platform’s architecture ahead of where the field is moving, and champion secure, ethical use of AI in everything the platform ships.
What you bring
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, with 15+ years of software engineering including significant time architecting enterprise-scale platforms.
- Deep .NET (C#) expertise for large, high-performance systems, and strong Python for AI/ML work.
- Hands-on experience with NLP, LLM ecosystems, and retrieval-augmented generation, including vector search, embeddings, and document retrieval pipelines.
- Familiarity with MCP and A2A orchestration frameworks, plus cloud-native delivery — Azure preferred — with Docker and Kubernetes.
- A track record of mentoring teams, leading technical direction, and turning research into production systems.
