Role Overview

We are looking for an Automation QA Lead with hands on experience in web automation testing

Responsibilities

• Lead Automation Testing Strategy: Take ownership of the automation testing strategy for our SaaS platform products, including framework selection, tool evaluation, and implementation.
• Develop and Maintain Automation Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks tailored to the complexities of SaaS applications to support efficient and effective testing.
• Automate Test Cases: Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing using industry-standard automation tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with QA managers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with project requirements and timelines.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation enhancements within our SaaS testing ecosystem. Lead initiatives to increase efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness of automation testing.
• Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and guidance to QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in automation testing best practices.
• Test Reporting and Documentation: Create detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution reports. Communicate test results and findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in automation testing within the SaaS domain. Evaluate and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance our testing capabilities.

Desired Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in automation testing, with a strong background in product companies focusing on SaaS platforms.
• Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices, particularly in the context of SaaS applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership qualities with a proven ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their implications on SaaS testing.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
